Middle School

This term is a very exciting time for the students (& teacher) in the 3/4 area. We are looking forward to our annual 3/4 camp. This year we are heading off to Camp Woorabinda for a 3 day action packed camp. For many of our students this will be their first time away from home and for others a chance to enjoy looking after themselves for a few days. This will be the first time Frankston Heights heads off to Woorabinda so we are hoping to make a great first impression!
Our curriculum is targeted at 21st century students with a major emphasis on numeracy and literacy through the use of digital media and technology. Student will continue to use the IWBs to respond to a variety of media sources during literacy sessions and utilise some wonderful internet sites to develop writing skills. Our integrated topic this term is Energy and It's Forces as we study the various renewable and non renewable energy sources and simple machines that utilise kinetic and potential energy. The essential question of our unit is What is energy?
